Remnant handling with the LSG ReMaster
The ReMaster automatic remnant storage system gives even smaller LSG remnants a second chance, thus helping you save on time and materials, maintain the quality of your glass and protect the environment. As soon as a reusable subplate is created, it is stored in the interim storage system above the cutting table to save space until it can be reused to save on waste. On command from the cutting system, the optimisation system or the production control system, the laminated glass is then fed back onto the cutting table without any manual handling and with almost zero disruption to the ongoing processes.
Features
- Automatic remnant handling for reusable remnants, subplates and sheets of laminated glass (panes ejected, sent to interim storage then fed back in)
- Horizontal interim pane storage (LSG/float glass) to save space
- Lifting and conveyor unit integrated in feeding table position to save space
- Improved waste optimisation options thanks to efficient, system-controlled offcut handling
- Special, gentle grippers protect the surface of the glass during picking and placing
- Automated handling protects the glass and eliminates the time wasted searching for offcuts
- Glass type and dimensions saved in the glass storage management system
- Open interface for optimisation software
- Flexible, optimised integration of remnants and subplates into production planning
- Storage system issues warnings when storage time exceeded, e.g. for coated glass types
- Suitable for full integration into HEGLA cutting lines
Functional description
The ReMaster’s dynamic offcut storage system is positioned in the unused space above the LSG cutting system, with the lifting platform placed in the feeding table position and integrated into it.
As soon as the cutting system has cut the last subplate off the glass sheet, the reusable offcut is moved backwards onto the lifting platform. The pane is lifted up in front of a compartment, where it is then placed by the gentle grippers.
When an opportunity then arises to make use of a pane in the ReMaster, it is pulled onto the lifting platform by the grippers and conveyor belts, lowered and fed onto the cutting table with a short process time.
