Dynamic remnant handling with the Float ReMaster
Coated, uncoated, thick or thin – even small, reusable remnants will automatically find a home in the ReMaster, where they can be stored for later use. As soon as a pane can be reused to save on waste, it is fed back into the cutting system in time with the cycle, causing almost zero disruption to the ongoing processes. This saves on valuable resources while also reducing the amount of time-consuming handling required. It even protects the environment, helps you to maintain the quality of your glass and reduces your waste costs even further.
Features
- Automatic remnant handling for reusable remnants, subplates and sheets of float glass (panes ejected, sent to interim storage then fed back in)
- Horizontal interim remnant storage (float glass) to save space
- Lifting and conveyor unit integrated into buffer belt conveyor downstream of cutting system to save space
- Improved waste optimisation options thanks to efficient, system-controlled remnant handling
- Special, gentle grippers protect the surface of the glass during picking and placing
- Automated handling protects the glass and eliminates the time wasted searching for remnants
- Glass type and dimensions saved in the glass storage management system
- Open interface for optimisation software
- Flexible, optimised integration of remnant sheets and subplates into production planning
- Storage system issues warnings when storage time exceeded, e.g. for coated glass types
- Suitable for full integration into HEGLA cutting lines
Functional description
The ReMaster’s dynamic remnant storage system is positioned in the unused space above the float glass cutting system, with the lifting platform placed in the buffer belt table position between the cutting table and the breakout station and integrated into it.
As soon as the breakout system has broken the last subplate for the job, the leftover remnant is moved backwards onto the lifting platform. The pane is lifted up in front of a compartment, where it is then placed by the gentle grippers.
When an opportunity then arises to make use of one of the remnants in the ReMaster, it is pulled onto the lifting platform by the grippers and conveyor belts, lowered and fed onto the cutting table with a short process time.
