ProLam LSR - greater productivity for LSG cutting
With the ProLam LSR, LSG cutting is faster than ever before. Thanks to the newly developed laser separation technology, the film can be heated up much faster than before. The overall process has also been accelerated, increasing productivity by 20 per cent or more compared to conventional cutting systems. The system’s high performance is not only reflected in its cycle time and precise cutting results – the heating process, which used to be very time-consuming when cutting laminated glass with four or eight-ply films, is now much shorter, thus increasing productivity even further.
Perfect edge quality for laminated glass
Due to the precise, focussed application of heat to the film in the cut contour, the surrounding pane remains cold. This means that when the incised, broken-out glass is pulled apart, the force only affects the heated film in the cut contour. The remaining laminate is not affected. This technology systematically prevents subsequent delamination and stops the pane from developing blurring effects over time. This makes the quality of the laminate edge more impressive than ever – even for jobs with the highest of standards.
Features
- Automated cutting system for laminated glass (positioning, scoring, breaking, separating) with time-saving laser diode heating unit
- Focussed heating of the film in the cut contour with virtually no impact on the surrounding glass
- Perfect edge quality, as the film and surrounding laminated glass are not affected by the heat and the pulling apart of the film
- LSG film separated cleanly using knife separating technology
- Automated glass transportation and positioning
- Short cutting cycles thanks to process-oriented procedures
- Software-optimised cutting
- Dual cutter heads for perfectly aligned and dimensionally accurate cuts
Functional description
Loading takes place via an upstream tilting air cushion table, an automated loading system, or an AdvaLam or similar system.
The system manages the fully automated feeding and positioning of the glass. The LSG is incised on both sides and broken out without changing its position. At the same time, the film is heated up with a precise focus on the incision. Next, the panes are pulled apart to create a small gap and the film is separated using knife separation technology. Optimised and synchronous processes help ensure short cycle times.
To further optimise the cutting process, an optional film peeling device and edge decoating module can be added to extend the upstream infeed table.
