Galactic fully automated glass cutting machine
Thanks to its high level of precision, the Galactic fully automated glass cutting machine effortlessly and reliably meets all the expectations for a professional float glass cutting solution. At the same time, the pioneering motion dynamics of its electro-magnetic linear drives make it the perfect choice for use in fully automated, industrial-scale cutting operations. Whether in a simple installation or a complex cutting line with ReMaster and the SortJet sorting system, it is always sure to impress.
High performance for float glass cutting
Extra options such as the Twin-Cut cutting head and Twin edge deletion, plus the machine’s high level of adaptability, make it the high-performance solution for float glass cutting. When the machine is extended by an ES Guard laser marking system from HEGLA boraident, your glass will be marked using patented UniColor laser transfer technology. A code, dynamic data, and/or customer-specific marking layouts can be added to the markings. Once applied, the mark is bonded to the pane for the entire product life cycle and can be identified via scanning at any time.
Features:
- Fully automated glass cutting machine for cutting straight lines and shapes from float glass – no operator required (automatic positioning, scoring, glass transport, optional edge deletion)
- Low-maintenance electro-magnetic linear drives
- Rotating high-precision cutting head for model cutting up to 360°
- High-resolution measurement system for maximum precision
- User-friendly control concept
- Designed for easy integration into single and complex cutting lines
Functional description
The Galactic is equipped with an automatic glass loading system to allow high cycle times. The conveyor belts carry the raw glass onto the Galactic, where it is then aligned automatically. System-controlled edge decoating (optional) is used for coated glass. The glass is then scored according to the exact specifications of the cutting diagram. In order to make this possible, the cutting bridge is controlled precisely by the electro-magnetic linear drives to allow extremely high speeds and accurate results.
The glass can be separated using an automatic crossbeam break system or a manual break table, e.g. in the X and Y directions when it is unloaded from the cutting table.
