On 1 August 2019, the ground-breaking ceremony was held for the new HEGLA production site in Stockbridge, Henry County, Georgia (USA). HEGLA celebrates long-standing current and retired former employees

“In today’s fast-paced times, people rarely work for the same company for decades. It is therefore extremely important to us that this year, we are again able to celebrate numerous colleagues who have worked for us for many years,” explains HEGLA COO Bernhard Hötger. Underestimated opportunities: City vans as express service and delivery vehicles

They are agile, small and can be used anywhere. While larger commercial vehicles with total weights of up to 3.5 tonnes have grown to be the vehicles of choice for service trips and deliveries of glass, windows and structural elements, smaller city vans have untapped potential. Unjustly, as Hans-Peter Löhner, Managing Director of HEGLA Fahrzeugbau with locations in Satteldorf, Beverungen and Kretzschau, believes. “Whether it’s a drive to the post office in the morning and express service to a customer in the afternoon, small city vans offer a familiar size and flexible options for everyday use in comparison to considerably larger box-type trucks,” said Mr Löhner. Almost everyone has a licence for this type of vehicle and even in congested inner-city traffic, they are easy to drive.

RAPIDCUT KT – Standalone Cutting Table with Linear Drive

HEGLA presented RAPIDCUT KT, a new standalone cutting line, to coincide with glasstec 2014. At the same time, this replaces the Formline KT that is established in the market. Technically, the main difference between the two cutting machines is the electromagnetic linear drives used in the RAPIDCUT KT. The result of this drive technology, with which HEGLA has also initiated a generation shift to standalone lines, is even more precise cutting results and minimal maintenance.
